Maitreya Festival 2015

Maitreya Festival 2015, nestled by a lake in the heart of Victoria, Australia.

A melting pot of maniacs, musos, mates and magic all rolled into one incredible festival.
For many people this festival is their first experience of such an event, offering a chance for them to see what it is all about. Festivals such as this show these people what it can mean to let that crazy, creative creature, that lurks within all of us, out to shine in the light. It is an opportunity to break free from the confounds of the city and have a play out in nature, to learn what it means to respect the land you walk on and love the people who surround you. A chance to open up and meet new people, to share in experience, knowledge, creativity and dance. To let your guard down and see what it means to trust those around you, to realise that if we all share what we have then no one goes without.
The love and laughter I felt over this weekend has forever been etched into my memory, these photos are a mere glimpse at the wonder that takes place at festivals such as this.
